The PUBG new map has been teased for some time and recently revealed itself through a short video. We now know a little more about Deston, this unique battlefield with multiple biomes and new features. Krafton also shared a release date, so the community can know when to check out this new map.
When is Deston coming out on PUBG?
The release date of Deston, the new PUBG map, is scheduled for July 13, 2022. At that time, players will be able to experience this new 8×8 battleground (like Erangel, Miramar, and Taego), although the developers explain that this is the largest and densest map ever.
In terms of regions, we will have four distinct ones. The swamp, which is filled with new experiences while promoting hand-to-hand combat. The central plains, on the other hand, will offer us a more traditional experience, mixing open areas and covered areas. There we will also find the largest building in the game. An area dedicated to snipers can also be explored, in which there are few spaces for protection. Finally, we will have the right to an area called “Concert District”.
Of course, who says new card says new features. There will be two major ones with Deston, since pulleys, called here Ascender, will make it possible to go up and down buildings quickly and without going through the interior of the building. This will not be without risk since the players will remain exposed. To quickly refuel a vehicle, we may also come across fuel pumps in service, which may, of course, explode. Finally, the emergency parachute, introduced with the Haven map, will be back, since high buildings are the hallmark of Deston.
Finally, regarding weapons, the two exclusive to Deston are the Origin 12 shotgun and the MP9 submachine gun.
