The announcement may seem surprising for various reasons, in particular the fact that he will directly face Fortnite, which is much more popular than himbut it will probably allow some to discover the battle royale without having to migrate platforms. PUBG will be playable on the Epic Games Store from December 8, at 1 a.m., a few hours after the deployment of the 21.1 update, which marks, among other things, the return of Vikendi to the servers. It will also be possible to pre-download it to anticipate its release.

For the rest, this version will, of course, be the same as the one available on Steam, and all subsequent updates will be deployed on all platforms. Cross-play will also be activated, to play together, if you have friends on the Valve platform. If you’ve never played it, the experience is more focused on realism than Fortnite, and several maps are playable, to vary the gameplay.
