The States are asked to detail their forecast, over three years, of the evolution of the deficit, of public expenditure and revenue, as well as of debt. Suffice to say that, in times of great instability, the work is delicate. Once all the copies have been collected, theoretically before April 15, the European Commission generally informs the States of its recommendations during May. The new French executive, once the next head of state is elected on April 24, will therefore not have to delay in turn transmitting its projections.
