Last night we learned that bandai namco had been targeted by a malicious group, which carried out a cyberattack on the Japanese publisher with the aim of stealing data and then exchanging it for ransom. According to the information transmitted by Kotaku, it would be a group known by the name of ALPHV, but also BlackCatwhich claims to have in its possession a lot of data from Bandai Namco.

Cyberattacks of this kind are increasingly common in the world of video games. We remember that of Capcom recently, which revealed several information on the next plans of the publisher, and the cyberattack that concerns Bandai Namco today is very similar.
Bandai Namco has yet to comment on this., but the band says they want to release some very important information about the publisher into the wild. While this could also relate to employee and user data (like you and us), it could also relate to Bandai Namco’s future plans.

In recent hours, it seems that several people are in possession of some of this data, with an image circulating on all social networks, displaying potential logos of Little Nightmares 3, tekken 8, Armored Core, Code Vein 2, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3a Tales of Ascension or a new edition ofElden Ring.
