pump prices continue to rise

Road fuel prices rose again in France last week, with prices rising between 17 and 27 cents per liter over the past month. In French service stations, all fuels are approaching the 2 euro per liter mark, according to figures from the Ministry of Energy Transition stopped Friday 27 and published Monday 30 January.

In detail, diesel sold at an average price of 1.94 euros per liter, or 2.7 cents more than the previous week. You have to pay 17.6 cents more per liter compared to December 30, 2022. Unleaded petrol 95 increased by 3.2 cents in one week, for a displayed price of 1.93 euros on average, and the SP95-E10 was up 3.5 cents, selling at a national average price of 1.91 euros per litre. Compared to December 2022, motorists pay 25.46 cents more for a liter of 95 unleaded petrol and 26.8 cents for a liter of SP95-E10.

Bioethanol or E85, whose consumption broke a new record in 2022, was displayed on Friday at 1.11 euros. Its tariff is also subject to an increase linked to the increase in agricultural costs and energy prices, in particular gas, which has been passed on in the supply contracts concluded between ethanol suppliers and fuel distributors. .

1er January sounded the death knell for the general rebate financed by the State and which cost 8 billion euros in 2022. An indemnity of 100 euros replaced it, which the motorists concerned – depending on income – can claim on the tax site until February 28. The aid is paid in one go, for 2023, for those who use their vehicle to go to work.
