The famous Kobold Pumuckl should celebrate his comeback in the coming year. According to matching media reports, a new TV series is planned, which is to be named after the radio play series "Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl".

Production of the first season, which includes 13 episodes, will apparently start as early as next year. The new Pumuckl series should then be broadcast in 2022. It is not yet clear whether the project will be shown on a broadcaster or with a streaming provider.

Pumuckl made its creator Ellis Kaut (1920-2015) famous. The first series was broadcast as a radio play series on Bayerischer Rundfunk from 1962. The TV series ran from 1982 to 1989 with Gustl Bayrhammer (1922-1993) as Meister Eder. Hans Clarin (1929-2005) lent his voice to the Kobold Pumuckl.
