In 2016, Lazy Bear Games And tinyBuild were throwing Punch Club, a boxing career management game tinged with humor and which had seduced the players. The studios are back this week to unveil a sequel, Punch Club 2: Fast Forwardwhich already offers a first trailer:
Punch Club 2: Fast Forward takes place 20 years after the first part, but the boxing club has not closed its doors, now in the heart of a city that has turned into cyberpunk, with its share of neon lights and new technologies. THE gameplay will however be the same, you will have to manage the evolution of your character by improving your statistics to win fights, here is a presentation of the game:
Your father mysteriously disappeared when you were born, and you spent 20 long years in your overbearing mother’s garage, leaving you plenty of time to work out and dream of the wonders of the world. But your life is anything but a fairy tale: people feed on slime, corruption is everywhere and everyone is looking for a fight… But you could try to find your father, even become the “dark fist” of which everything the world speaks, which would allow you to save humanity while revealing the secrets of the Organism of Good… or not. Choose adventure or stay in your garage, it’s up to you.
20 long years have passed since Roy defeated the big bad guys and reunited with his father, allowing everyone to live happily ever after (or something like that). So here we are in the future, everything is corrupted, toilet paper has given way to seashells and everything is cyberpunk. In the same streets (except for the neon lights) once walked by Roy, dive into the heart of a laugh-out-loud adventure against a backdrop of 80s nostalgia and fight (even more than before).
Beat your opponents with punches, kicks and even cheats if you want. Imposing in combat is never easy and requires time, application, money and training! Improve your stats and your techniques, plan your confrontations and create your super school of combat! It’s always better than losing and becoming a laughing stock. While nothing beats a good old fashioned bloody fight, it’s tempting to resort to neuro-training and illegal software. Be aware, however, that these fraudulent practices risk making you lose your credibility… and your neurons.
The hectic pace of everyday life requires effective time management to survive. It’s the same in Punch Club 2! This game is an authentic simulation! Manage your schedule and budget while dominating the combat leaderboards against a backdrop of criminal investigations and collaboration with the police, the underworld and everyone else you come across. Completing quests will open doors to new battle schools and earn you special moves, money, good person points, and even the Lion Queen on VHS!
