Punk make-up looks are THE beauty trend for winter

Warning: now it's getting rebellious. Lucia Pica, creative head behind the Chanel beauty looks, shows how we want to ALL look this winter.

Punk glam de luxe: big hair, lush fabrics and viiiieeel jewelry – the current creation by Chanel creative director Virginie Viard is a feast for the eyes. The make-up artist Lucia Pica made the look perfect by turning her models into exciting punkers. The result: smokey eyes, dramatic eyeliner and rich bordeaux red on nails and lips. In short: rocky attitude meets noble robes – what a cool contrast! She not only misses the 80s look with a classy update, but also sets the trend for the upcoming make-up autumn. In any case, we are completely blown away by the surprisingly different beauty looks. The best: Despite the striking colors and a lot of eyeliner, the styles remain portable and invite you to put on your make-up.

This is how the everyday punk look works

  • It doesn't take that much for the iconic Chanel look. Because as striking the make-up looks at first glance, it is ultimately so simple to put on make-up. The first step is to prepare the skin as best as possible, because well-groomed skin is the basis for the dramatic punk look. Lucia Pica either completely dispenses with foundation for her models or uses light textures. Freckles and slight reddening are allowed to shine through, which takes the weight off the look. The Italian also dispenses with bronzer or powder and thus creates a soft, glowy look. Tip: With a liquid highlighter you can add shimmering accents to cheeks and eyelids.
  • If you like it more classic, next you go for a deep black, liquid eyeliner and pull a thin eyeliner close to the upper lash line. Starts in the inner corner of the eye and pulls a long flick outwards. The upper lashes are only lightly brushed on, the lower lash line is completely omitted.
  • The most striking part of this look is the lips. Outline your mouth with a dark shade of red and then paint the inside out accurately. Tip: "Glow" is also the keyword here. A gloss on top gives your makeup freshness.
  • If you like it a bit more eye-catching, do without the eyeliner and use anthracite-colored eyeshadows with a shimmer effect. Apply this over a large area to the movable eyelid and then blend to Smokey Eyes. In contrast to the first look, it can be a bit more natural on the lips. The punky eye make-up with a transparent gloss looks particularly beautiful.
  • The very, very brave among you bleach their eyebrows. In combination with bright eyeshadow colors, the look looks softer and not as extreme.

Why we love the look

Admittedly, in combination with heavy taffeta robes like Chanel's, the rock punk make-up is a true fashion statement, for which we lack the courage or the right occasion in everyday life. For clean outfits, the style works as a real wonder weapon and gives us that certain attitude in no time. Stars like Kristen Stewart know about the power of the power make-up look: we love their clean outfits, to which they add that certain something with dramatic beauty styles.
