A 55-year-old Croatian is suspected of threatening to kill his ex-wife and her new boyfriend in Kalwang. He is said to have initially tried to hit the two of them with the car and then chased them with an axe.
According to police, the suspect followed his 42-year-old ex-wife in the car on Saturday morning. She was walking with her 27-year-old boyfriend to the Kalwang train station in the Leoben district. The 55-year-old is said to have tried to hit the two of them twice. The man was immediately arrested. The man is said to have threatened the two with an ax that he had carried in the car. According to the police, he made slashing movements in the air while standing in front of the 27-year-old. The man was arrested by the alerted officers and taken to the Leoben prison on the orders of the public prosecutor. The 55-year-old was also banned from entering and approaching the building, as well as a temporary ban on weapons. The ax was seized.
