Puss in Boots: The Last Quest was released in theaters this Wednesday, December 7. Before attending the new adventure of the famous red feline, test your knowledge of the first film.
Directed by Chris Miller and released in 2011, the feature film is a spin-off to the hit saga Shrek. In the first part, the legendary feline then embarked on a journey rich in twists and turns, the latter will try to seize the famous Goose with Golden Eggs to save the city where Puss in Boots grew up.
In this second opus, Potté realizes that he has exhausted 8 of his 9 lives. He will then follow in the footsteps of the mythical Wish Star in order to recover his lost lives.
Through the character of Puss in Boots, Antonio Banderas finds a peculiarity to which he was accustomed when he camped the character of Zorro: the signature with the sword; the black rider marking his passage by the first letter of his name “Z” on the walls, the kitty in the foil, him, doing the same thing by signing with a “P”. A real hairy Zorro!
A pet Puss in Boots?
In Puss in Boots, the feline spent its time bragging about its ability to save the world. He wakes up today after eight lives, confronted with a real existential crisis. Margie Cohn, president of DreamWorks Animation, says:
“This seemed like a very good starting point for such an exuberant character. What would Puss in Boots be without a great adventure? What would happen if he suddenly became vulnerable. He may be self-centered, but this time he’s forced to evolve emotionally.
