lia./(Reuters) The Russian television journalist Marina Ovsiannikova, who became known for her anti-war protests in front of the camera, has been put on a wanted list in Russia. Her name and photo appeared on a list of fugitives from the Russian Interior Ministry on Monday, various media reported.

Ovzyannikova was charged in August with “spreading false information” about the Russian army and was placed under house arrest until October 9. However, she is said to have left without authorization, the state news agency Russia Today reported on Saturday, citing statements by Ovsyannikova’s ex-husband: Ovsyannikova fled with her daughter, he said. It is unclear where they are staying.

The TV journalist garnered widespread attention when she held a sign protesting Russia’s war of aggression on camera on Russia’s state broadcaster Channel One in March.

More protests followed. She has been sentenced several times for this and faces up to ten years in prison. She worked temporarily for the German medium “die Welt” and stayed in Germany. However, the collaboration ended after a few weeks. Ovzyannikova returned to Russia in July and continued her protest.
