Puy du Fou: after Spain, the park will be exported to the United States


Le Puy du Fou, a unique artistic concept, is being exported to the United States for a unique show in Tennessee. The show will be inspired by the history of the Cherokee people.

After France and Spain, Puy du Fou, whose historic site is located in Vendée, is settling down in the United States. This is the very first time that the concept has taken hold on the American continent. The show will take place at the feet of the “Great Smokey mountains», the first American national park which welcomes more than 12 million visitors each year.

The people Cherokee highlighted

Concerning the history, it is that of the people Cherokee which will be highlighted. The Puy du Fou goes “put its know-how at the service of the historical and cultural heritage of this great Indian nation which has gone through hardships and dramas with greatness and wisdom”. The creation, immersive and inspired by a true story, will plunge visitors into the heart of a “epic overwhelming, from Appalachia to the plains of Champagne”. The latter are indeed those located in the north of France. Indeed, the Cherokee Soldiers were represented in number among the 17,000 Native Americans who fought under the Stars and Stripes during the First World War.

It will nevertheless be necessary to be patient, since the opening to the public is planned for 2024. In the meantime, you can go to Spain, where Puy du Fou already opened a second park in Toledo last year.
