Taito Corporation and ININ Games have just announced that the license Bubble Bobble will be back in 2023 with the title Puzzle BobbleEverybubble. And the new kid in the family will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
We will find our dear little colorful dragons – Bub, Bob, Peb and Pab – based this time at Rainbow Island. The objective of the game has not changed for all these years. You will have to burst the bubbles in the colors of the rainbow as soon as possible, while the ceiling continues to descend, inexorably. The game mechanics haven’t changed either. To burst the bubbles, two essentials. Aim straight and line up at least three bubbles of the same color. In short, a child’s game which has nothing innovative about it, but which will be perfect for small moments of relaxation, as the concept is as simple as it is addictive.
A novelty however slips into this new opus. Indeed, we note the appearance of a story mode, which will be playable in cooperation up to 4 players. Each player will then find themselves having to manage the bubbles on their piece of screen, while hoping that their teammates do the same. Between each phase of the game, there will be a few small skits depicting the adventures of our 4 dragons, where we will learn, among other things, that they must come to the aid of a certain Miniroon.
