This means that there are no investment costs for the clubs, financing is provided for the first 15 years by a contracting model, the clubs pay monthly rent and “during this time they can enjoy cheaply produced electricity”, says Steinecker. The association can even make any surplus available to its members. After 15 years, the inverter is exchanged and handed over to the association in mint condition. During this period, the system has already paid for itself and free electricity can be produced from now on. “I’m proud of this deal,” said Götschhofer. Steinecker adds: “There is no reason not to do it!”
