QATAR HOLDING INTENDS TO KEEP THE 11.52% OF THE CAPITAL OF LAGARDÈRE IT HOLDS
PARIS (Reuters) – Qatar Holding LLC has announced its intention to retain the 11.52% stake in Lagardère that it holds as part of the public tender offer launched by Vivendi against the group which notably controls the publisher Hachette and the media Europe 1, Paris Match and Le Journal du Dimanche (JDD).
In a press release issued by Lagardère on Sunday, “Qatar Holding LLC indicates that it does not intend to tender its Lagardère SA shares to the main or subsidiary branch of the public offer filed by Vivendi SE on February 21, 2022 and approved by the Financial Markets Authority on April 12, 2022”.
However, Qatar Holding does not rule out “purchasing or selling Lagardère SA shares depending on market opportunities and/or applicable regulatory requirements”.
