So recent that at the time of this writing, it is only visible on QNAP’s English site, the TS-410E is in a way the little brother of the TS-i410X with, as a result, a philosophy identical: develop the most powerful and discreet model possible.
4x 2.5 inches, but rather SSDs
Announced two short weeks ago, the TS-i410X is a NAS that its manufacturer intends for the professional market with its dual RJ45 10 GbE interface and a price of more than 1,200 euros in particular.

Very similar in name, the TS-410E is a more economical version. Indeed, QNAP has decided to keep the same envelope with a rather compact case of 254 x 180 x 60 mm for a weight of 2.64 kg, without any disk.
Disks, the TS-410E can accommodate up to four in SATA 6 Gb / s. While in theory there doesn’t seem to be any incompatibility with platter hard drives, QNAP is only talking about SSDs in order to maintain the promises of speed, responsiveness, and quietness.
Dual 2.5GbE Ethernet Controller
QNAP does point out that the TS-410E was designed to ” operate in environments where noise is a sensitive subject “. In fact, the manufacturer has opted for a fanless design which probably doesn’t work well with platter discs.

Silence is one thing, but it shouldn’t affect the performance of the machine QNAP has designed around an Intel Celeron J6412 processor. This CPU has 4 cores/4 threads and reaches a frequency of 2.6 GHz. It is supported by 8 GB of RAM, unfortunately not expandable.
To spoil nothing and make the most of the processing power of its NAS, QNAP associates two RJ45 2.5 GbE ports, an HDMI 1.4b output and nothing less than four USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports. The exact availability of the beast is not announced, nor its price, but it should not be long.
