Quadient: organic growth of 2.1% in the first quarter

(Boursier.com) — The group quadient announced first-quarter 2023 revenue of €256 million, representing organic growth of 2.1% compared to first-quarter 2022. As reported, revenue grew by 1 .3%, including a slight positive currency effect of +0.6% and a negative scope effect of -1.4%. The changes in scope relate to the sale of the Graphics activities in the Nordic countries and that of the Shipping activity in France, both of which took place in June 2022.

Revenue from the main Mail-Related Solutions business amounted to 176 million euros in the first quarter of 2023, down slightly by 0.3% as reported and down 1.1% organically. While business remained particularly buoyant in North America, both in terms of subscription revenue and equipment sales, Quadient points out that the Major European countries segment was down.

The Intelligent Communication Automation activity recorded organic growth of 10.4% over the quarter and the Parcel Locker Solutions activity recorded organic growth of 8.7%.

Quadient confirms that organic revenue growth in 2023 is expected at around 3% with organic growth in recurring operating income excluding expenses related to 2023 acquisitions of around 10%.
