The world of technology is moving at the speed of light. While the chipsets Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 begins to invade smartphones of the market, now Qualcomm has its eyes fixed on the future and gives us an appointment for very soon.
Qualcomm’s website has leaked the dates of its future event. And good news, it will be earlier than usual!
The Snpadragon Summit 2022 sees its date brought forward
A few hours ago, Qualcomm formalized the dates during which its next big event, the Snapdragon Summit, will take place. An event during which the high-end Snapdragon Gen 8 Gen 2 SoC will most likely be revealed. This year, the Snapdragon Summit will therefore take place from November 15 to 17, 2022, in Hawaii. Traditionally, however, the event takes place at the beginning of December, but for unknown reasons, it was brought forward a few weeks this year.
Logically, this new chipsets should equip future high-end smartphone models to come next year, such as the OnePlus 11 or the Galaxy S23. Speaking of Samsung, although the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are not yet available on the market, we recently learned that the 2023 generation of Korean folding smartphones should also feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
Of course, the presence of the future chipsets from Qualcomm on the occasion of its event, which will take place as a reminder in the month of November, has not yet been confirmed. But as we remind Android Police, it’s a safe bet that it will be part of the announcements of this Snapdragon Summit. Anyway, this new chip from Qualcomm will replace the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, launched last month.
