Quantic Dream would work on a second AAA more advanced than Star Wars Eclipse

It had been a few months since we heard rumors around a game Star wars headed by Quantic Dream, and the Game Awards have lifted the veil on Star Wars Eclipse. Still, the game appears to be a long way from its release, and the very knowledgeable Tom henderson reported that the release would not be before 2025, at the earliest, in particular because the studio would struggle to recruit (undoubtedly because of the cases which led to the trial between the studio and Mediapart / Le Monde). A persistent rumor is gaining momentum today, and evokes then another game in development at the studio, which could also come out before Star Wars Eclipse.

A humorous game in development?

It is AccountNGT who gives us this new rumor today, after revealing the game a week before its announcement (he also recently gave some details on the progress ofHogwarts Legacy, but still unverified to this day).

The latter then declares that Quantic Dream is working on a second AAA project, which would notably be based on the demo The Dark Sorcerer, which had been revealed at E3 2013. The game would have the distinction of being very focused on “humor”, and would be in development in the Paris studio, which would also work on the writing of Star Wars Eclipse. The title would be more advanced than the latter, and it could also be cross-gen, although that may change.

We will obviously take a grain of salt with all this, but Tom henderson confirms the existence of the project, adding thatit would have the code name “Dreamland”.

We will obviously wait for an official statement from Quantic Dream to clarify all this.
