Quantum computing represents a real challenge for France, which plans to create two prototypes of universal computers. It is within the framework of the Choose France summit, scheduled for Monday, May 13, that the announcement will be made, as indicated by a source close to the matter.AFP. During this event, 180 foreign business leaders will be brought together at the Palace of Versailles by Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic. Various topics will be covered such as AI, decarbonization and, of course, quantum computing.
IBM’s investment of 45 million euros will be spread over several years and will result in the recruitment of around fifty experts including engineers and researchers by 2025.

Thanks to this investment, the IBM France Lab Paris-Saclay center will be able to continue its research and development work and projects in terms of quantum computing. This location allows teams to form partnerships with schools, specialized institutes, start-ups and companies.
