Quatennens steps back from his role as coordinator of LFI

PARIS (Reuters) – Faced with a handrail filed by his wife, deputy La France insoumise (LFI) Adrien Quatennens announced on Sunday that he was stepping back from his duties as coordinator of his party.

While the couple is in the process of divorcing, his wife Cline recently filed against him following an argument.

In a press release posted on Twitter, Adrien Quatennens gives details of his married life, declaring in particular that he “grabbed the wrist” of his wife and took her phone. He also evokes “a slap” during an argument that occurred a year ago.

“I am not a violent man”, assures the deputy of the North.

Adrien Quatennens says he is at the disposal of justice and draws the “political consequences” from this episode by retiring from his post as coordinator of LFI “to protect the movement, its activists and all those who rely a lot on me”.
