Queen Camilla: First official appointment after Charles’ dismissal

Even if King Charles III. (75) and Princess Kate (42) have just been released from the hospital, everyday royal life continues as usual, at least for the other members of the royal family. Queen Camilla (76) gave a small reception at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, January 30th as part of the 100th birthday of Queen Mary’s Dollhouse. On this occasion, Camilla, who was visibly in a good mood, welcomed people involved in the creation of a new miniature library.

Queen Camilla contributes her own booklet

To mark the anniversary, “the Queen has launched an initiative to create a modern miniature library,” according to a story the Royal Family’s Instagram profile. It contains handwritten manuscripts from “today’s leading writers, illustrators and bookbinders.”

The Queen also contributed her own handwritten booklet to the collection in the form of a foreword. The doll’s house, the largest and most famous in the world according to the Royal Collection Trust, was originally built in the 1920s for Queen Mary (1867-1953), wife of King George V (1865-1936).

Meanwhile, the king is also looking forward to getting back to work soon after a recovery period, as Camilla explained at another appointment shortly before the procedure. Charles was discharged from a London clinic yesterday, Monday afternoon, following prostate surgery. However, he is still recovering – as is Prince William’s (41) wife Kate. After undergoing abdominal surgery around two weeks ago, she has now left the hospital. Kate’s public appearances are not expected until after Easter.
