Queen Camilla
She tells us about Charles’ health
During the opening of a cancer treatment center, Queen Camilla also spoke about the health of King Charles III.
Queen Camilla (77) has officially opened a cancer treatment center in Bath, England. During the appointment on September 3, she also spoke briefly about the health of her husband King Charles III (75).
“There is a very welcoming atmosphere here and you can see that it really gives people courage in very difficult times,” she said. According to a report by the British BBC in a speech about the facility, which cost 50 million British pounds. The centre can receive up to 300 people a day.
How is the king?
The British monarch and Princess Kate (42), the wife of heir to the throne Prince William (42), are suffering from cancer themselves. When asked about her husband’s health, Camilla indicated that the king is apparently still on the road to recovery. “Yes, he is doing very well,” she confirmed.
Camilla unveiled a memorial plaque at the Dyson Cancer Centre and met with staff and patients, including a man who is currently recovering from a stem cell transplant. He told the Queen that he was tired. Possibly in reference to Charles’ treatment, Camilla, who was visibly in good spirits during the visit, jokingly replied: “Men don’t want to admit that.”
At the beginning of February 2024, the palace announced that the king was suffering from cancer. Charles, who was undergoing treatment, then stopped attending public events for several weeks. But with Camilla, he soon returned to his public duties. In March, Kate also reported her illness. In an emotional video message, she revealed that she was in the early stages of chemotherapy. Since then, she has made few public appearances.
