Queen Camilla raises concern: she is apparently not back on her feet nine days after announcing her corona disease. Now King Charles’ wife had to cancel another important appointment.

On February 13, 2023, Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Camilla, 75, had contracted the corona virus again. For the British woman, it is the second time that she has contracted COVID-19, and she was also caught in mid-February last year. King Charles, 74, must continue to attend the planned appointments without his loved one.

Queen Camilla canceled another important appointment

The monarch appeared relaxed and in good spirits on Wednesday morning, February 22, on a visit to the Felix Project charity in the London borough of Poplar, which provides food to some of the most needy people in the community. And that despite the fact that he had to attend the appointment without his wife. Apparently, nine days after her illness, she is still not fit enough to make public appearances.

Palace gives the all-clear

But the palace gives the all-clear. There doesn’t seem to be any reason to worry about the 75-year-old. “Her Majesty has made an excellent recovery from last week’s illness,” explains a spokesman for the court, according to “Express”, adding: “However, in order to enable additional preparations for the literature reception, which has been postponed to Thursday, and other obligations, Her Majesty will not attend attend today’s Felix Project event.” Charles’ diary, however, remains unaffected.

On Thursday 23 February, Camilla will host authors, members of the literary community and charities at Clarence House to celebrate the second anniversary of her online book club, the Reading Room. Charles will also attend the event. The project is close to his wife’s heart and she started it in early 2021 as part of her commitment to improving the reading skills of children and adults in the UK.
