After the death of Queen Elizabeth, Camilla was not doing well as Queen Consort – royal expert Rebecca English now reveals that King Charles’ wife was downright “broken”.

Queen Camilla, 75, has never had it easy in public alongside King Charles, 73. She was the lover unloved by the people, because of which the marriage of Charles and Princess Diana, † 36, never really had a chance and finally broke up. Diana was the victim whose husband was unfaithful – and the public loved her “princess of hearts”. Camilla, on the other hand, became a wicked old witch, who in the end was to find her happy ending with Charles: on April 9, 2015, the two finally said yes, officially, and Camilla was named Duchess of Cornwall. All’s well that ends well? no

The world mourns Queen Elizabeth

Because life is not a fairy tale and writes its own stories. On September 8, 2022, the world stood still for a moment as Queen Elizabeth, † 96, closed her eyes for the last time at Balmoral Castle. The whole world mourned with Britain and her royals. But not only King Charles, Prince William, 40, Catherine, Princess of Wales, 40, or Prince Harry, 38, cried about the loss of the monarch, Camilla also suffered from the death of the Queen. Royal editor Rebecca English reveals on the “Daily Mail” talk show “Palace Confidential” how Camilla really felt after the death of Queen Elizabeth.

Queen Camilla: ‘Broken’ and ‘Uncertain’

In the latest episode of the talk show, English opens up about how “heartbroken” and “saddened” Camilla really was. When the journalist saw the royals for the first time after Queen Elizabeth’s public farewell, she noticed the following: “She looked broken and grieved and she was obviously unsure of how she would be received.” Andrew Pierce, who also works for the “Daily Mail” and sits on the show, went further on her standing in public: “Camilla was the wicked witch and she always knew it. In private she joked about it. But she stayed with Charles Because she loves him and he loves her and I think that shows their incredible love for each other.”
