On the first evening of the G7 summit, the heads of state and government awaited a reception with Queen Elizabeth II and other royals.
A special treat for the heads of state and government of the G7: On the evening of the first day of the summit, a reception with Queen Elizabeth II (95) and other British royals at the Eden Project, a botanical garden in Cornwall – and a dinner afterwards awaited them .
Together with her partners, Chancellor Angela Merkel (66), French President Emmanuel Macron (43), US President Joe Biden (78) and the other participants met for a little chat with the Queen, her son Prince Charles (72) and his Wife Camilla (73) as well as Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (39).
Should it look like fun?
In pictures from the event, Queen Elizabeth II is obviously in a good mood talking to Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden (70). She herself relaxed the mood with a little joke while group pictures of those present were being taken. In a short video clip, which the British “Daily Mail” shows, Elizabeth II makes people laugh by asking if it should look like we’re having a good time.
According to consistent media reports, the dinner is said to have included turbot from the region with new potatoes. Soon, Joe and Jill Biden will meet the Queen again. The couple is expected to receive them again on June 13 at Windsor Castle.
