Queen Elizabeth II .: First official appointment after "Megxit" with the Air Force

Queen Elizabeth II (93) made her first official appearance in the new year. On Monday, the British monarch visited the Air Force's Royal Air Force station in the city of King's Lynn near Norfolk. While doing so, she looked at the fighter jets in her position as Honorary Air Commodore and got into conversation with employees.

For the Queen, the first appointment after her Christmas break was a welcome change. In the past few weeks, the 93-year-old has been struggling with the "Megxit", the resignation of Prince Harry (35) and Duchess Meghan (38) as high-ranking members of the British royal family.

Queen Elizabeth II should have had a public appointment last week. In Norfolk, she should go to the Women's Institute. The Queen had to cancel this event temporarily due to illness.
