Queen Elizabeth II .: From lockdown to summer vacation

Queen Elizabeth II will apparently begin her annual summer vacation in Balmoral if the corona restrictions are relaxed.

For Queen Elizabeth II. (94), the corona lockdown could end soon. And immediately afterwards, it is obviously their summer vacation. The British tabloid "The Sun" reports. The monarch and her husband Prince Philip (99) are therefore expected to be brought by helicopter to their Scottish estate in Balmoral. According to the newspaper, they could stay there for up to three months as usual.

The Queen and Prince Philip have been living in isolation at Windsor Castle for 15 weeks. The "Sun", citing alleged insiders, writes that they will leave around August 1st. Then the corona restrictions for those over 70 in the UK could be relaxed. The castle should also open to tourists again. "Preparations are in full swing," the anonymous source is quoted as saying. In her 68-year reign, Elizabeth II has so far spent every summer at Balmoral Castle. She usually goes there for twelve weeks.
