Queen Elizabeth II seems to have a clear view of Harry and Meghan's royal status: "Either inside or outside."

The rift between Harry (36) and Meghan (39, "Suits") and the British royal family seems to be deeper than expected. As Rebecca English, Royal Expert of the "Daily Mail", claims to have heard from Palace Insiders, there is much more behind the incident on Remembrance Sunday 2020 than previously known.

As a reminder, Harry and Meghan laid flowers in Los Angeles National Cemetery in November after they were apparently denied permission to place a wreath in their name on the memorial in London. At the time it was reported that palace employees made this decision without informing Queen Elizabeth II (94) of it.

Nothing happens without their knowledge

As Rebecca English now reveals, it should have been the monarch herself who spoke out against Harry's request. Accordingly, she needed "only two seconds" to make the decision. "Remembrance Sunday is sacred when it comes to Her Majesty's schedule," English quotes her unnamed source from the royal family. "It's one of the most important dates on your calendar and nothing is done without your knowledge."

The Royal expert also learned from another insider that the 94-year-old admired the achievements of her grandson "both inside and outside the military." However, she sees his action on Remembrance Sunday as "an example of his lack of understanding of what it means for him to be a non-working royal". Queen Elizabeth II is "of the firm opinion that you can't choose what you do when it comes to the institution. Either you're in or you're out."
