Queen Elizabeth II: Monarch goes into corona isolation with Prince Philip

The second corona lockdown is due in Great Britain. Queen Elizabeth II will sit this out again with Prince Philip.

Queen Elizabeth II (94) and Prince Philip (99) will spend the coming weeks together again at Windsor Castle. According to the British Daily Mail, this was confirmed by Buckingham Palace. Accordingly, the monarch spent the weekend with her husband at the country estate Sandringham House in the county of Norfolk. On Monday (November 2nd) they left together to move into their Corona quarters in Windsor.

The second corona lockdown is pending in Great Britain. This starts on November 5th and is scheduled to end on December 2nd. The royal couple also spent the first and subsequent time together at Windsor Castle. They lived in their isolated household for a full four months before the six-week summer vacation in Scotland came up. The 94-year-old returned to Windsor shortly afterwards to resume her royal duties, and Prince Philip has stayed in Sandringham ever since.

United on the wedding day

Although the renewed corona isolation for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip is likely to be stressful, it also has a positive aspect. They will spend their 73rd wedding anniversary on November 20th. In 1947, the couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in London.
