Queen Elizabeth II .: Philip is not with her for the first time in months

So far, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip have spent the crisis together. Now they should be separated from each other for the first time.

After many weeks in common quarantine and on vacation, Queen Elizabeth II (94) and Prince Philip (99) are apparently separated from each other for the first time in months. According to British media reports, the royal family has confirmed this.

While the Queen is said to have just returned to Windsor Castle, Prince Philip should therefore remain in Sandringham for the time being. After their summer break together in Balmoral, Scotland, the two had spent several days off in Sandringham, Norfolk.

No big dates

Since the beginning of the corona pandemic, Elizabeth II and Philip had initially gone into self-isolation at Windsor Castle, where they were looked after by only a few employees. However, they did not want to do without their traditional summer vacation in Scotland.

Before the Queen's return, it was already reported that the 94-year-old would like to spend the next few weeks at Windsor Castle. Apparently, she does not want to attend any major events at least until the end of the year because of the continuing health risk related to Corona. However, she can apparently keep smaller appointments with few people – even in Buckingham Palace.
