To protect Queen Elizabeth II (93) from the Corona crisis, the monarch moved with Prince Philip (98) to Windsor Castle on Thursday. At the same time, however, she also thought of and addressed the citizens of the United Kingdom.
As she and Philip arrived in Windsor today, they knew "that many people and families in the UK – and around the world – are going to have a time of great concern and uncertainty." Such times reminded the Queen "that the history of our nation is shaped by people and communities" who join together to work toward a common goal, as spread through Twitter, among other things.
She was also "extremely grateful" for the efforts of scientists, doctors and assistants. It is also important that every citizen contributes to surviving the corona crisis. The Queen also assured that she and her family were also aware of the important role they played in this.
