In Australia, a new statue of the head of state Queen Elizabeth has been unveiled in a striking pose and with a mandatory handbag.

A new statue of the British Queen and thus Australia's head of state, Queen Elizabeth II (94), was erected in front of a government building in Adelaide, South Australia. Her Majesty virtually unveiled the statue early last week during a video meeting with the Governor and Prime Minister of South Australia. A video on the Royal Family Instagram page shows the ceremony.

You can also see photos of the new statue by Australian sculptor Robert Hannaford (76). Unmistakable: the smiling queen in a typical, calf-length coat dress, with a brim hat decorated with flowers and – above all – the obligatory handbag. Incidentally, the Queen should not only use this as a fashion accessory, but also send secret signals to her employees. If the bag hangs over your left arm, as is the case with the Australian statue, everything is fine. However, the procedure has never been officially confirmed.
