In 1980, Queen Elizabeth II made an official four-day state visit to Switzerland. Stations were: Red Cross in Geneva, the city of Zurich, Grün 80 in Basel, Rütli, a state banquet and a visit to the Federal Palace in Bern and a detour to the Principality of Liechtenstein. It was her only official trip to Switzerland.
