Queen Elizabeth completed three appointments during her stay in Scotland. Now the 96-year-old is taking a break at her country estate in Norfolk.

Queen Elizabeth, 96, has packed her bags and made her way from Scotland straight to her country home in Norfolk. As British media reports, the monarch will spend a private weekend there and recover from the eventful days in Scotland.

Queen Elizabeth: Sandringham is her favorite retreat

It’s no surprise that the Queen is retiring there: Sandringham House is one of the Queen’s favorite spots. The country estate reminds the 96-year-old of her childhood and her late husband Prince Philip, † 99.

The Queen’s plans for her stay in Norfolk remain private. However, it can be assumed that the dog lover will spend a lot of time with her animals and will take it easy due to her mobility problems. The Queen has made three major public appearances in Edinburgh in recent days to celebrate Holyrood Week.
