One of Queen Elizabeth's horses had to be euthanized unexpectedly.
Queen Elizabeth's horse has died
A horse fanatic since childhood, Queen Elizabeth, 94, has been one of the UK's greatest owners and breeders of racehorses. One of their animals, a four-year-old gelding named Space Walk, had started the Newbury race in Berkshire, a county in south-east England, on Sunday afternoon (August 16). During the run the horse suddenly braked and did not want to run any further. Veterinarians rushed over and examined the gelding. But they couldn't help him anymore.
"We received the sad news that Space Walk had to be put to sleep after sustaining an injury during the race. Our thoughts go with everyone who has anything to do with the horse," tweeted ITV News at 4:18 pm local time Injury to Space Walk is unknown.
