Queen Letizia is one of the most stylish royals. While her look isn’t as extravagant as Queen Máxima’s, it’s bolder than Kate’s. Here you can find out what makes her look unique and which styling rules she follows.

Queen Letizia, 50, has been King Felipe’s, 54, side’s wife for almost 20 years and consistently stands out for her good work ethic, intellect and good style. As a former journalist and business woman, she is used to appearing self-confident, well-groomed and elegant, but always surprises with her own personal touch.

Queen Letizia’s style secret

Similar to Catherine, Princess of Wales, 40, Letizia regularly sparks sellouts at labels she’s previously worn to public occasions. The monarch is aware of this influence and therefore chooses her outfits carefully. You can find out here which five points make your look particularly unique.

Spanish labels preferred

As Queen of Spain, Letizia represents her country at home and abroad. This responsibility is also reflected in her style. At public appearances, she prefers to wear Spanish designers. Felipe Varela is behind many of her most iconic appearances, but she also likes to rely on designs by Carolina Herrera, like recently on her trip to Germany, Delpozo and Lorenzo Caprile. During the corona pandemic and the associated financial crisis, she also showed solidarity and dispensed with great luxuries. Affordable parts from brands of the Inditex group, including Zara, Mango or Massimo Dutti, became their new everyday companions.

courage to age

Although Queen Letizia doesn’t look 50 years old, she tries not to cling to her outward youth. So she decided against permanent hair coloring and wears her first gray strands with pride. She joins the ranks of gorgeous women like Andie MacDowell, Ángela Molina and Princess Caroline of Monaco who look stunning with their graying hairdos.

Queen Letizia loves it body-hugging

Whether it’s a cocktail dress or an evening gown, Letizia dresses usually have one fit: they are tight-fitting. Hardly any member of any other royal family is as fit as the 50-year-old and she likes to show it. With Letizia, it doesn’t always have to be the dress with a pencil skirt, but it is noticeable that her outfits usually have a waisted center and are still fitting on the thighs. Fit-and-flare or A-line cuts work well for floor-length gowns.

The higher the better

At 1.7 meters, Letizia is not one of the shortest women in the world, but she cheats a few centimeters taller in public appearances. Her love for high heels even goes so far that she accepts pain for it. On October 12, 2022, at the National Day reception at the Royal Palace in Madrid, she revealed that she suffers from Morton’s neuroma, a thickening of the metatarsal nerve, but still didn’t give up her beloved high heels.

That suits her

Letizia likes it straight. You rarely see eye-catching prints on her, but pants suits are all the more common. The business two-piece suits are also very popular with Princess Victoria, 45, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 40, because they are elegant but still convey strength. In contrast to Kate, who has discovered tailored blazers, Letizia relies on wide, oversized models in bright colors. Letizia’s look always remains the same: a simple shirt or blouse, a colorful pantsuit, pumps and her hair is usually worn open.
