The Danish Queen Margrethe II was vaccinated against the corona virus last Friday. A second vaccination is still pending.

As the Danish royal family published in a short press release via Instagram, Queen Margrethe II (80) has now been vaccinated against the corona virus. "Her Majesty the Queen was vaccinated against Covid-19 today (1.1.2021, editor's note). She will receive her second vaccination in about three weeks," the statement reads. When vaccinating against corona, it is necessary to give two doses within three weeks to ensure vaccination protection.

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark is the first European royal to officially announce that he has been vaccinated against the virus. According to "Euronews", around 30,000 citizens have received the vaccine from Pfizer / BionTech since the vaccination began in Denmark on December 27th last year.
