The Swedish royals host a gala dinner in honor of the 2022 Nobel Prize winners and dazzle in stunning gowns. But this detail almost destroys Queen Silvia’s glamor look.

It is the annual fashion highlight in Sweden: the Nobel Prize. The Nobel Prizes are awarded in Sweden every year on December 10th. An event where, traditionally, almost the entire royal family performs in the Stockholm concert hall – and inspires with real glamor looks. The royal dinner in honor of the Nobel Prize winners follows one evening after the award ceremony. And there, too, the royals were not stingy when it came to elegance this year. In addition to Crown Princess Victoria, 45, who appears in a glittering green robe, and Princess Sofia, 38, who surprises with an ombré robe, this time Queen Silvia, 78, is the focus of attention.

Queen Silvia: Her dress has a funny detail from the back

Orange is the color of the evening! In addition to daughter-in-law Sofia and some guests at the banquet, Queen Silvia also chooses the bright color, which is otherwise rarely used by the royals. In a tight-fitting, glittering robe, the 78-year-old becomes the absolute eye-catcher of the evening and sparkles with every step through the ballroom in the royal palace. But her dress, which she combines with a Judith Leiber shell clutch and a brooch with the likeness of her husband King Carl Gustaf, 76, is not only an eye-catcher from the front. The secret of the rear view of Silvia’s dress is also revealed in profile – and it spontaneously arouses animal associations.

Because: Her sparkling dress is complemented with an orange train that is loosely knotted. So loose that the thick knot looks like a cute, fluffy bunny tail. A queen in a bunny look at one of the most important events of the year – not ideal. Did she get wind of the special rear view of her dress? In the course of the evening, the 78-year-old shows herself exclusively in front of the camera.

Special tiara complements the noble look

Without the bunny accessory, the focus is again on the sparkling dress and her headdress, which also catches the eye this evening. Queen Sofia’s 1836 Nine Prong tiara is said to be one of Silvia’s favorites, but she only wears it on rare occasions. The king’s dinner is one of those. The high tiara with 500 small diamonds is enthroned in the queen’s elegant updo and becomes a beautiful eye-catcher. The last time the mother of three wore the piece of jewelry was the state visit of the German Federal President and his wife in Sweden. Her look is rounded off by imposing jewellery, which perfectly complements the tiara with its diamonds.
