ENTERTAINMENT

“Kill Bill Vol. 3” is history. After numerous rumors abounded that director Quentin Tarantino would be bringing back the film series, the idea has now died forever.

  • Quentin Tarantino just wants to make one more movie before he jumps into new projects.
  • The rumor persisted for a long time that this could be a third “Kill Bill” part.
  • This has been discussed for years, but Tarantino is now putting an end to speculation.

Quentin Tarantino played his way to the top of Hollywood with “Pulp Fiction”, “Inglourious Basterds”, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and many other films. But the successful filmmaker just wants to make one more film before he focuses on new projects.

So what will Quentin Tarantino’s last film look like? Many fans were hoping for the announcement of a sequel to Tarantino’s popular “Kill Bill” film series. The film could tell the story of Beatrix Kiddo’s daughter BB, who is now grown and vengeful herself. But Tarantino isn’t a fan of the idea, at least not anymore.

I don’t see that. My last film is about a film critic. And it’s set in the 70’s.

In recent years, a sequel to “Kill Bill” has been discussed again and again. Tarantino even spoke to leading actress Uma Thurman several times about a sequel to the action film. In this, ideas should be used that would not have made it into the two predecessors. But the ideas never materialized.

In an interview with Thurman in 2022, the prospects for a “Kill Bill” sequel also sounded less than promising. Because while plans kept coming up and Thurman is well respected by Tarantino, it doesn’t seem like the director really wants to bring the katana-wielding heroes back.

I can’t really say anything about that. I mean it’s been discussed over the years. There was serious thought that it might happen, but that was a very long time ago. I don’t think it’s in sight anytime soon.

Nevertheless, the rumor and the desire for a “Kill Bill Vol. 3” hold up bravely. Not least since Vivica A. Fox, who played Vernita Green in the film series and was killed by Beatrix Kiddo, recreated scenes from “Kill Bill” in a music video with SZA.

Tarantino’s final film will be The Movie Critic, which is said to be based on the life of famed film critic Pauline Kael.
