Almost three months after the release of version v4.0.1 of the Quest Games OptimizerAnagan79, its developer, announces the new major update of its game optimization tool Meta Questwho will be available at this address within a few hours.
In writing, we are eager to unveil this new version v5.0.0 stamped “The Big FIVE update”. Our official developer from Gamergen.com redac has worked body and soul to bring you the most successful version of QGO to date.
We would like to thank the ten beta testers, of several nationalities, who helped to test and therefore fine-tune the update so that it lives up to your expectations. We would also like to thank the various contributions what are the profiles that you propose to us, the ideas to improve QGO, the Youtube videos, and last but not least, the infallible support of the growing community.
Enough babbling, here is the main outline of what has changed:
- You can now try QGO free for 5 days before buying it ;
- v5 is more robust and hosted on a more robust infrastructure, able to accommodate the next versions for Pico Neo 3 Link, Pico 4 (PicoGamesOptimizer = PGO) and Meta Quest Pro;
- v5 now has a button to update without going through a download from Itch.io;
- v5 now saves all your personal profiles in the cloud. So if you uninstall the app and reinstall it later, your profiles will still be available and you just need to re-enable them;
- v5 features a new interface more streamlined with a menu and tiles for your games. You can choose the interface you like directly in the application;
- v5 marks the arrival of energy saving profiles, to play without consuming too much battery. They will be improved over time. More than 300 games already have a Battery Saving profile ;
- The v5 also signals the arrival of notifications. You will now be notified in the application when a new profile arrives or when the developer must communicate certain important information to you;
- The v5 adds improvements in the profile editor part, such as the notion of resolution in percentage, more presets, and the possibility of adjusting the refresh rate as you see fit. You can therefore enter 111 Hz, 83 Hz etc;
- The v5 will ask you to log in the first time by entering your email address used when purchasing the application to counter piracy. For those who have obtained a free key, you will need to contact the developer to create your account. To test QGO for free, just click on the dedicated button;
- v5 has an EXPERIMENTAL feature that allows you to launch QGO from Oculus Home, without systematically going to unknown sources. CAUTION, THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK VERY WELL;
- v5 has even more explanations which you can consult by clicking on the “?” ;
- v5 finally fixes the profile sharing feature! We therefore invite you to send your profiles so that they can be checked and added to the very long existing list;
- And finally, the feature you’ve all been waiting for! Scrolling is now possible in QGO.

To install this new version, you can do as usual, i.e. install it over 4.0.0 or 4.0.1, but you can also uninstall QGO to install v5 in order to have a clean install. The developer would like to point out that by switching to this new version, you will lose all your personal profiles, because QGO uses a new data hosting infrastructure. You will therefore have to copy them yourself. He also adds that he will stop supporting v4.0.0 and v4.0.1. They will be deleted.
