Questions for a champion: Julien Lepers’ unambiguous message about his successor

Invited this Saturday April 9 on the set of TPMP people on C8, Julien Lepers did not fail to give his opinion on his successor, Samuel Etienne. The agreement still does not seem to be in good shape.

Resentment is tenacious, on the side of Julien Lepers. The one who hosted the flagship program of France 3, Questions for a championfor more than 30 years has still not swallowed the decision of France Télévisions.

The group had indeed decided to separate from Julien Lepers to make room for change with the arrival of Samuel Etienne at the controls of the show. A choice that the former animator took very badly, and which still does not pass six years later.

“It’s all the difference… between a journalist and a presenter”

Julien Lepers had already mentioned the subject on the show At Jordan’slast March : “I’m not destined to be a masochist. And it’s true that it touches me. It’s a program that I know so well. It was I who invented Questions for a champion. (…) Questions for a champion, that’s me. It is not good what has been done. It’s not good at all. But in life, that’s how it is” he had expressed himself.

This Saturday, April 9, it’s on the set of TPMP People that the former presenter confided after reviewing images of Questions for a championwhile he was still the host of the show: “You have to make the show because if you take the journalist who says the questions as he announces a news…” he launched. Mathieu Delormeau immediately made the connection with Samuel Etienne, after which Julien Lepers continued: That’s the whole difference… between a journalist and a presenter. You have to set the mood while doing things seriously. That’s what I tried to do for thirty years. And it was very successful.”

That is what is said.
