Make-up knows no age, we know that! Nevertheless, our skin changes over the years and becomes more wrinkled. And let’s be honest: Applying eyeshadow and co. to wrinkled eyelids can be a real torture, right? These three tricks will make it easy for you.

We love to make our face look fresher with makeup. And of course, wrinkles are always an unsexy topic, but we can’t avoid them. And we’re not at all ashamed! We’d rather tell you which tips make your eye make-up look fantastic even on wrinkled lids.

Let’s start gently

Any powder eyeshadow will last longer if not applied directly to the lid. It is best to use a creamy eye shadow or even a primer as a base. Both ensure that your eyes are optimally prepared for the powder textures. You can let off steam with the color as you please – a natural brown or beige always works.

Technology, technology, technology

As I got older, it was the windshield wiper movement when I was putting on make-up. This only pushes the eye shadow back and forth on the loose skin and, in the worst case, causes even more wrinkles on the eye. Our motto: dabbing movements. If in doubt, it will take a little longer, but you will benefit from it for longer and the make-up will look much more even. You can also wet a flat brush and then press the eyeshadow onto the movable lid. This technique lasts forever. The supreme discipline for wrinkled eyelids is the eyeliner. Instead of trying to apply it all over the eye, you can use a dark eyeshadow and pull a little wing on the outer corner. So it doesn’t look too hard and can be easily blended with the other colors. If you can still get a flawless eyeliner, then give me your tips!

To the twelve?

Let’s emphasize it again: make-up knows no rules and everything is allowed. Reach deep into the paint pot? Great. Subtle eyeshadow? In any case. glitter? Why not. Despite this, some textures emphasize wrinkles while others push them into the background. A dark shade is perfect for emphasizing the crease and the outer corner of the eye. Lighter colors or even a shimmering satin eyeshadow, for example in a champagne shade, work wonders on the movable lid and open up the eye. You love glitter on the lid? We too, but it just settles too much in the folds.
