Admittedly, no one should put off a visit to the hairdresser for too long. After all, your hair should stay healthy. But if we’re too lazy to have the roots recolored or run straight to the hairdresser for the right fringe length, there are a few tricks that are worth their weight in gold.

The approach grew out faster than we would like. Damn. But now color directly? No, no buck at all. Luckily there are little helpers that give us a bit of a buffer until the next visit to the hairdresser.

Root dye: Fake it ’til you make it

Let the approach disappear quickly? Of course it works! Not for long, but it gives us a few weeks time and is perfect for in between. Root sprays with different colors manage to make the hair look freshly colored and uniform again. But not only roots can be concealed, also bald spots on the temples disappear with the sprays (e.g. with severe hairstyles). The color can then simply be washed out again when you wash your hair and no residues remain.

Nurture: Use Wonder Weapons

Sometimes our hair needs a new colour, but we still want to protect it from a stressful visit to the hairdresser. Olaplex is not only considered a miracle weapon by Hollywood hairstylists to make stressed hair really beautiful again while coloring it. But it also works in between. Less split ends, less hair breakage, more shine and more intense color mean fewer visits to the hairdresser. We like.

Cutting: Just lend a hand yourself

First of all: We should be aware that hair experiments can always go wrong. Especially the ones with color. Dye blonde at home? Probably not the best idea! Glossings to refresh the color actually always work and do not pose any danger, and even a small trim in between can work with a little planning and a lot of caution. Shorten bangs? It’s better to take off less of the length first and preferably not to cut it wet – the hair pulls up again when it’s dry and that can quickly look stupid. If it’s done right and we use proper scissors (PLEASE not the ones for the nails), the hair will look fresh again in no time.

Do nothing: celebrate naturalness

Dyeing costs time and money and may not even be necessary. Have you ever tried the natural color? That usually suits us best. Naturalness is also becoming increasingly popular as we age. Gray is cool and doesn’t age you at all! On the contrary. It shows that we’re proud of our age and can be a lot cooler than walking around with our roots all the time. So just celebrate yourself!
