Qwant wants to protect the navigation of your employees


Companies are experiencing growing data protection issues since the implementation of the GDPR. Qwant announces this Wednesday the launch of its new “Qwant @ Work” offer dedicated to companies.

This free offer is aimed at companies, administrations and organizations concerned with protecting the data and browsing of their employees, and for whom “access and implementation of simple and free protection solutions to preserve their economic intelligence is not always obvious”, comments Corinne Lejbowicz, president of Qwant.

The extension installs Qwant as the default search engine.

Qwant has the particularity of not tracking its users, or even selling their personal data. Beyond Qwant Search, other services are offered such as Qwant Junior, an engine intended for children between 6 and 12 years old, the Qwant Maps mapping service or even Qwant VIPrivacy, a navigation extension allowing you to browse the web without tracking. advertising.

Companies have a voice

This new browser extension dedicated to employees makes it possible to block “most cookies and trackers that automatically track and store the digital actions and gestures of Internet users beyond the Qwant search pages”, explains the group in a press release. This solution also intends to protect employees from “most malicious sites and the risk of data leaks” by benefiting from an anti-phishing list.

“In a context of increasing cyberattacks and data leaks, we want to provide with Qwant @ Work a simple, free and turnkey solution for companies to better protect their sensitive data and secure the browsing of their employees. Implementing tools that do not collect personal data, that block most trackers and cookies, and that prevent phishing, is a key step in reducing risk,” said Raphaël Auphan, CEO of Qwant.

The main interested parties will have a say, promises Qwant. Thus, “the next functionalities will be developed in collaboration with the companies using our service, to offer them an offer that meets their needs as closely as possible”, specifies Raphaël Auphan.

After the departure of co-founder Eric Léandri, Corinne Lejbowicz and Raphaël Auphan took over the management of Qwant from Jean-Claude Ghinozzi in July 2021, respectively as president and CEO of the group. Qwant’s mission is to develop new privacy and personal data protection solutions for browsing.
