Racism here, colonialism there: the art experts at Zurich’s building department believe that they have unearthed problematic issues in the huge fund of the canton’s art collection.
Hans Jörg Limbach was not one of the greats. He wasn’t a Tinguely, let alone a Giacometti. The works of the Zurich sculptor, who died in 1990, are now traded from around 2000 francs, particularly successful works are sold for the equivalent of a small car.
