Raclette evening, barbecue: Magali Ripoll confides in her relationships with the musicians of “N’ Forget the Lyrics”: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Launched for the first time on France 2 in 2007, the show Do not forget the lyrics is today an unmissable event in the public channel’s program schedule. Bringing together several million viewers daily in front of their screens, the musical game produced and presented by Nagui has established itself as one of the most popular shows on the French audiovisual landscape these last years. If certain emblematic candidates of Do not forget the lyrics have become stars of the small screen thanks to their respective performances, this is also the case for certain musicians present to accompany them on set. Among the latter, we can notably cite Magali Ripoll, who has been involved in Nagui’s musical game since the very beginning. Originally from Burgundy, the singer, now 45 years old, spoke to Marie-Amélie Druesne as part of the podcast Current Women. She notably revealed the underside of her relationships with the other musicians in the program.

“We went on tour for almost a year with the show Don’t forget the lyrics”

Magali Ripoll explained that the different members of “Zikos”as Nagui nicknames them, hang out regularly outside of the filming of Do not forget the lyrics. “Not everyone was available but, for a large part of the team, we had a barbecue after the summer, during the sunny days, at François the pianist’s, who has a beautiful little house with a beautiful little garden. We all arrived with our sausages”said Magali Ripoll. The musician even added that her colleague Fabien Haimovici organized raclette evenings from time to time.

However, given that 14 people make up the team of “Zikos” of Do not forget the lyricsit is quite complicated to ensure that everyone is available on the same date. “We went on tour for almost a year with the show Do not forget the lyrics. And before leaving, we all said: ‘Wow! We’re already having a great time of the year together. We’re going to be on a ‘Tour bus’. We’re going to be on stage. We’ll see each other all the time. […] But it was fluid because we’ve known each other for a long time. And everyone knows everyone’s temperamentalso added Magali Ripoll.
