At the end of 2021, the American actor Radames Pera was indicted for sexual assault and aggravated rape of a minor under the age of 15 according to information revealed by L’Union, Thursday June 23, 2022.
Radames Pera is an American actor who has obtained some television roles in the 1970s. He is particularly known for having interpreted the role of John Sanderson Edwardsthe one-time fiancé of Mary Ingalls in The Little House On The Prairie. Subsequently, the actor did not have a very long career and appeared last seen in 1987in the television series Starman.
And if he was known as an actor in the past, today Radames Pera is talked about for a much darker reason. Indeed, Thursday, June 23, the daily The union revealed that the 61-year-old man had been indicted at the end of 2021, for sexual assault and aggravated rape on a minor under the age of 15, in France. The information was later confirmed by BFM TV. Since 2017, the former actor has based in Jonchery-sur-Vesle, in the district of Reims. He decided to live in France in order to join his French wife, with whom he became the father of a baby boy in 2015.
Radames Pera denies the charges against him
According The unionthe acts of sexual assault and rape allegedly took place on a 5 year old girl, and revealed in July 2021. An investigation was opened by the Reims public prosecutor’s office and then entrusted to the Reims gendarmerie brigade. At the end of the year, a judicial investigation was opened and Radames Pera was indicted and placed under judicial supervision.
According to Matthieu Bourrette, the public prosecutor of Reims, the judicial investigation was opened in order to “enable long and in-depth investigations to be carried out in a complex and atypical file“. He then went on to explain that “the person concerned, presumed innocent, has always denied the facts before the investigators“. The actor of The Little House On The Prairie who has no criminal record in France does not currently have not been remanded in custody, because he collaborates and responds to all the summonses of justice. The investigation is currently continuing.
