«Do you have a quantum pendant or negative ion jewelry? Stow them away safely! » Under this absurd title, the Dutch Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection published an article that is supposed to warn of possible health risks from several pieces of jewelry. The supposed protection followers are likely to be particularly popular with esotericists.
The necklaces and bracelets have names such as “Energy Armor” (“Energy Protection Shield”) and advertise the alleged ability to help against the alleged dangers of 5G radiation. In fact, the products are said to have low levels of radioactivity – and thus themselves pose a health risk.
“Those who wear these products are exposed to harmful radiation,” says the authority. The total of ten products were previously examined in a Dutch laboratory. The objects also include a bracelet specially designed for children, a round “quantum” amulet and a “sportsman’s necklace”.
WHO refutes fears of radiation exposure
The Dutch authorities are also informing about the immediate purchase ban on these products. Dealers have been informed about this and customers should first stow the products safely in a locked container. Because of the radiation, the jewelry should not be disposed of with household items.
The numerous conspiracy theories surrounding the alleged health risk posed by the 5G mobile communications standard led to a large market for obscure products on the Internet.
In fact, despite several studies, there is still no evidence of a health risk from 5G radiation, as the World Health Organization (WHO) also emphasizes on its website. On the other hand, it is different with the supporters in the Netherlands. They can be harmful to health. (chs)
