Origin of radish

Radish is a popular food in Asia, but here it is mainly known in southern Germany and is often served there as a snack. The plant probably originally came from Egypt and then spread across the Mediterranean. In this country, radish is mainly grown in Bavaria.

These radish varieties exist

There are three different types of radish, but it is a food primarily the garden radish of importance. It is divided into different varieties, of which the white radish is best known.
